| USECA The Utica Shelby Emergency Communication Association is a group of over 180 hams from all over the Metro-Detroit area. This club is the largest and most active club in southeast Michigan. One of our claims to fame is our Field Day event. In the past several years, we have had the distinction of having the largest Field Day in North America (by virtue of our guest list), and we have placed in the Top 10 overall for the past five years (with a 3rd place overall finish in 2000 - running QRP!). In 2004 USECA finished 14 out of 16 in the MI QSO Party in our class. In 2005 USECA finished 6 out of 10 in our class. And in 2005, USECA placed first in class in the Arizona sQRPions FYBO contest.
USECA General meetings occur at 7:30pm on the second Monday of each month of September through June at the Elks Lodge at 179 S. Main in Mount Clemens. | Strategic Air Command Memorial Amateur Radio Club (SACMARC), Incorporated, is a Non-Profit, Public Benefit Corporation in the State of Nebraska and is affiliated with the American Radio Relay League, Incorporated, of Newington, CT. The purpose of the corporation is to preserve the communications history of the Strategic Air Command and United States Air Force. A historic military-recreation callsign (formerly associated with Headquarters SAC, Offutt Air Force Base, near Omaha, Nebraska), K¸AIR, as well as the personal call sign of General Curtis E. LeMay when he was the CINCSAC, K¸GRL, were recovered from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in order to serve as a living exhibit of both past and present amateur radio communications. Our regular business meetings are quarterly, at 7:30 PM, on the third Mondays of March, June and September. The location for these meetings is the Wendy's on Galvin Road in Bellevue, NE.
