Douglas M., Casamer, W8DMC

The photograph shows my station in Armada Township, Michigan. The main rig is a Yaesu FT-920 HF transceiver with an Ameritron ALS-600 solid-state amplifier. The power supply is a Yaesu FP-1030A. My Palstar Model AT1KM 3K tuner allows me to tune from 160-10 Meters via 134-foot Carolina Windom antenna at 55 feet. I have a small Autek WM-meter with lighted view, which is great for low light levels in the shack. I found the YAESU SP-8 speakers to be the best choice and they look great along compatible YAESU equipment.

You will also see my Yaesu FT-847, a Yaesu FP-1020A power supply, and a Diamond SX-400 UHF/VHF meter for my 2 Meter and 70cm side of the shack. I use an Alinco DM-34OMV power supply to run a Mirage 2 Meter amplifier at 180 watts on USB with a 13B-2 at 50 feet.

Front and center are two large and individually grounded Alpha Delta switches, one set for my HF system and the other for the 2/440 use. To the left of my radio station I have a computer, flat screen monitor, printer, scanner, cable TV, DVD Player and a 100-count CD software wooden oak cabinet. The station is on a 96" designer counter top, which helps in the over-all operation of integrating computers in the Amateur Radio together. I have confirmed 222 countries to date.
