My main station consists of a Yaesu FT-1000MP driving a Ameritron AL-82 with full QSK capability. This rig operates into a 3-element tri-band beam up about 65 feet for 10, 15 and 20 Meters. I also use a flat top wire for 75 and 40 Meters. An MFJ-986 antenna tuner is used with the flat top wires.

Off to the right is Kenwood TS-950 SDX dedicated to the 160-meter band. It drives a Kenwood TL-950, which feeds a full length 160 inverted “V” with the apex at 64 feet.

The 2-meter and 440 bands are covered by a Kenwood TR-9130 and a Icom IC-2340H. The computer is a home-built (assembled) 900 MHz unit with a 17" monitor. The console was a kit construction by Intelligent Designs Model 10012 (800/327-9782).

The station is used daily on 20 Meters as net control station for the afternoon Buckeye Net held Monday thru Friday at 4:30 to 5:00 PM EDT on 14.262 MHz. All stations are invited to join the net.

I was a Radio Repair Instructor during the Korean conflict and a GE retiree with 38 years of service.
