What to do with the space under the stairs? Instead of using it to park the vacuum cleaner or the cat’s dish, why not use it for your shack?
One day I was scanning with an old SW receiver, and pulled in HCJB. Later, I heard some CW signals, found out about Amateur Radio, got bitten by the radio bug, and never recovered. I was first licensed in 1991. The transceiver is a Kenwood TS-690S. On top of the desk are a DSP filter and an automatic tuner, and an external speaker (nice for visitors in the shack). The 2M rig is the new ICOM IC-V8000. Antennas include a G5RV and a horizontal loop 560-foot total length.
