My interest in Amateur Radio was sparked by two organ students that I had. Both being Hams, they kept wanting me to become a Ham. I told them I did not have time to study. After I retired from teaching I put my nose in the books in 1985 and got my first license.

I was ARES Emergency coordinator for 10 years. I enjoy working DX and have 312 countries confirmed. I was Net Control for 10 years on the YL SYSTEM. Being interested in photography, I enjoy doing ATV. It is incorporated into our ARES Emergency plan.
