Bob Peters, W1PE

I was first licensed as K1JNN in 1958 in Bangor, Maine and I now live in the Dallas, TX area. The station consists of old and new. From left to right bottom shelf is the new Yaesu FT-2000 along with the MDU-2000 and a 19-inch Dell screen. Behind the screen is the 75/40 meter Yaesu Mu tuning unit. Next to the screen is a Halicrafters SX-101 receiver. Above that is the Heath DX100B. Going on left is the Drake L-7 amp with a MFJ Large SWR Meter. Above that is a WRL VFO which is more stable for the DX100B.

Then comes the Kenwood scope and Yaesu Rotor control. Last is the JW Miller AT2500 Automatic Antenna tuner. Both stations have W2IHY 8 band and EQ Plus Audio gear with a Heil PR-40 and a Heil PR-780. Not shown is the 2nd vintage station of a NC-183D along with a Johnson Viking II with a Heil PR-30 into a W2IHY 8 Band into a Broadcast Volumax 430 Compressor Limiter. The speech amp in the Viking II is disabled and the modulator tubes are driven with a Hammond 812 transformer. Long Live AM.

Keep up the great work. Love your mag and also Military and look forward to receiving both every month.
